The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Risk Management Center has developed a suite of open-source infrastructure risk assessment tools to help dam and levee stakeholders assess potential flood hazards, seismic risk, breach concerns, and other potential impacts.
Next week, on Tuesday February 27, at 2 p.m. ET, EPA is hosting a free virtual webinar on physical security and cybersecurity threats to the water and wastewater sector. The briefing will be unclassified, and no clearance is required. WaterISAC staff, along with other federal partners, will be conducting the brief.

On Tuesday, a large storm in Australia’s Victoria’s state led to power outages for hundreds of thousands of people. While in the U.S. over the past few weeks, extreme weather events and cold temperatures across have led to significant power disruptions. Water and wastewater utilities are encouraged to assess their current preparedness efforts and work to enhance their power resilience as natural hazard threats rise.
