The Justice Technology Information Center (JTIC), a program of the U.S. Department of Justice, has added a range of information and resources on how response agencies use drones, or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to its website. The site lists uses of UAS in public safety and presents several success stories from around the country. There is also step-by-step information on launching a UAS unit, which discusses identifying need; defining mission, community engagement, and implementation; and creating policy and SOPs. JTIC.
