Unit 42 published its 2024 Incident Response Report yesterday which includes incident data from over 250 organizations and more than 600 incidents. The report provides a unique perspective into the latest threat tactics being used by attackers and provides helpful resources and methods for effective defense. 

A couple key findings from the report include how more-sophisticated threat actors are finding different ways to gain initial access into protected systems, and how they are grabbing data indiscriminately. Unit 42 highlights the importance of gaining visibility across your external and internal attack surface, as well as closing critical protection gaps with principles of Zero Trust.
