Yesterday, CISA and the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) jointly published Business Continuity in a Box. This product, developed by ACSC with contributions from CISA, aims to assist small to medium-sized organizations with swiftly and securely standing up critical business functions during or following a cyber incident.

The Business Continuity in a Box resource focuses on fortifying email communications (Continuity of Communications) and business-critical applications (Continuity of Applications). For organizations looking to enhance preparedness for a potential cyber incident, Business Continuity in a Box can also be integrated into an existing Business Continuity Plan (BCP). Business Continuity in a Box is designed for situations where the availability or integrity of an organization’s data and/or systems has been compromised. When organizations experience a cyber incident, they often do not have the capacity or resources to continue to undertake minimal business operations securely while incident investigation and remediation takes place. To assist organizations who do not have access to a relevant or recent BCP, Business Continuity in a Box provides an immediate, interim solution for establishing business-critical functions in a timely and secure manner.
