The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Risk Management Center has developed a suite of open-source infrastructure risk assessment tools to help dam and levee stakeholders assess potential flood hazards, seismic risk, breach concerns, and other potential impacts.

USACE Risk Management Center’s suite of free software and tools can help assess risk for a variety of hazards and emergency scenarios concerning dams and levees. One of the tools includes the Reservoir Frequency Analysis (RMC-RFA) software to facilitate hydrologic hazard assessments within the USACE Dam Safety Program. The Seismic suite helps users calculate the risk and the potential impacts of an earthquake. Users can also assess the risk of a breach using the Breach Parameters Suite. In addition, the USACE Risk Management Center most recently developed the RMC-TotalRisk, a quantitative risk analysis software, to enhance and expedite risk assessments of flood risk management. Lastly, the USACE Risk Management Center offers multiple free training courses to assist stakeholders with their resilience efforts. Access the full range of software tools at the USACE here and read more about the program here.
