In a groundbreaking effort to help “safeguard civilization,” WaterISAC is honored to partner with the new Dragos OT-CERT (Operational Technology – Cyber Emergency Readiness Team).
At the RSA Conference today, Dragos announced its new OT-CERT, a purpose-built program to address the resource gap in securing industrial infrastructure. The OT-CERT is designed to provide free resources to the OT community and offers access to information and materials to help organizations prepare for cyber threats, build an OT cybersecurity program, improve their security posture, and drive down risks in their OT environment. According to Dragos, while membership is open to all OT organizations globally, OT-CERT is especially beneficial for small and medium sized firms that don’t have access to the same level of resources as large enterprises. "Both WaterISAC and Dragos understand the criticality of water and therefore the critical nature of defending OT in the water sector,” said Michael Arceneaux, WaterISAC’s Managing Director. “This unique collaboration will bring much needed, free cybersecurity insight and tools to the water sector, especially helping small and medium utilities.”
In addition, WaterISAC is joined by peer ISACs, Electricity ISAC (E-ISAC), Downstream Natural Gas ISAC (DNG-ISAC), and Oil and Natural Gas ISAC (ONG-ISAC) in partnering with Dragos to safeguard civilization by protecting the treatment, distribution, and transmission of two of THE most critical infrastructures, water and energy. Members will have free access to a variety of preparedness resources through the Dragos OT-CERT portal, including a self-service ransomware tabletop exercise kit, best practice blogs, webinars, reports, and training. Likewise, WaterISAC will co-host workshops and other events with Dragos OT-CERT in an effort to develop more focused resources for underserved water and wastewater utilities. Interested utilities are encouraged to visit the Dragos OT-CERT Registration page for early access to this new unique service. For more on the OT-CERT, visit Dragos.
