For “If You See Something, Say Something” National Awareness Day, which DHS has designated as Saturday, September 25, WaterISAC encourages its members to refresh themselves on the potential signs of terrorism-related suspicious activity. And more than just a refresher for security personnel, this information should be provided to all employees. Protecting any organization, and especially ones that provide critical services like water and wastewater utilities, requires a team effort with everyone being vigilant for signs that, if reported, could prevent a serious incident. DHS has provided an infographic that discusses the signs, many of which correspond to the kinds of incidents WaterISAC tracks and reports in publications like its Quarterly Incident Summaries.

WaterISAC also encourages members to report incidents and suspicious activities, first to local and other law enforcement authorities and then to WaterISAC by emailing analyst@waterisac.org, calling 866-H20-ISAC, or using the online incident reporting form.
