FEMA’s National Integration Center has released the updated National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training Program, which sets forth a structure for national training and establishes the roles and responsibilities of FEMA and members of the NIMS stakeholder community. It identifies specific activities for developing, maintaining, and sustaining a training program that prepares all incident personnel to understand their respective responsibilities and work together during incidents. The revised NIMS Training Program introduces training Focus Areas based on incident personnel’s position and responsibility. These areas include the Incident Command System, Joint Information System, Emergency Operation Center, and the Multiagency Coordination Group. Read more and access the training program at FEMA.
Additionally, FEMA will host a series of 60-minute webinars on June 1, 19, and 24 to discuss the revised NIMS Training Program and answer related questions. All webinars are open to stakeholders across the whole community, and each webinar will cover the same information.
Webinar 1: June 1, 2020, 4:00 p.m. EDT - 5:00 p.m. EDT
