Water Sector Physical Threat Briefing: Building a Mature Water Utility Physical Security Program
October 8, 2025 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET
On October 8 at 2 pm ET, WaterISAC will convene the next event in its quarterly Water Sector Physical Threat Briefings series. Presenters from Trinity River Authority of Texas and Guidepost Solutions LLC will discuss building a mature water utility physical security program.
In recent years, the physical security threat landscape facing the water and wastewater sector has become increasingly complex, dynamic, and volatile. Water and wastewater utilities face a growing risk of physical security incidents from a wide range of threat actors, underscoring the importance of building an effective physical security program.
To help owners and operators enhance the physical security of their utility, WaterISAC is excited to welcome Andrew Jordan, the security manager for the Trinity River Authority of Texas, who will discuss how his utility is building a mature physical security program by working with Guidepost Solutions LLC, discuss how to make a business case for security, create a culture of security awareness, and offer physical security best practices.
Following that, Angela Osborne, Vice President of Risk & Emergency Management, at Guidepost Solutions LLC, will detail how her company worked with Trinity River Authority to build a security benchmarking survey to glean best practices from across the sector which was used to create a physical security master document based on the results. She will also discuss other security best practices from across the critical infrastructure community.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how your peers are working to build a mature physical security program.
