An interagency group (consisting of representation from the Army Corps of Engineers, the CDC, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, the Department of the Interior, the EPA, FEMA, NASA, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) has published a report titled Looking Forward: Priorities for Managing Freshwater Resources in a Changing Climate. This is an update to the 2011 national action plan of the same name, whose purpose is to understand and manage the impact of the changing climate on the nation’s water resources. To that end, the document lists challenges in and provides recommendations to mitigate issues with four different areas of freshwater water management: data and research, planning and decision support, training and outreach, and workgroup management and coordination. ACWI.
