The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking input between now and January 13, 2020 for the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education’s (NICE’s) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. First published in August 2017, the document is intended to define and provide guidance on different aspects of cybersecurity workforce development, planning, training, and education. It also establishes a taxonomy and common lexicon that describes cybersecurity work and workers. NIST has identified specific topics it is seeking inputs for here. Additionally, NIST announces it has just launched a new website – the NICE Framework Resource Center – to provide a resource that categorizes and describes cybersecurity work.
